Welcome to the category for my musings on all things spiritual. I figured since this is bound to be a very controversial topic I would make my first post one about, but my goal is to be open-minded but not so much that my brain falls out.
I’m a devout follower of Christ, and firmly hold that his teachings and the bible are inerrant and am not willing to wiggle on those beliefs. However, I do absolutely believe that all truth is rooted in God, so whether your religion is Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Wiccan or even Atheism, we can all be in pursuit of the truth, and whatever claims we make that are truth, we can agree to be as such.
I believe that one cannot take the words of their elders as perfect truth without reason or logic behind it, and as such, my beliefs are my own, not of my pastor, my parents, or my families. As a super close friend of mine who differs in beliefs from me said on two different occasions, “you believe in infallible logic, yet you are Christian,” and “I am adamant in my beliefs and mainly the one that is about how we simply can’t know what’s out there no matter how many theories I come up with but you… your faith is staggeringly solid. You know your truth and will not let anything falter or shake it” [edited for grammar]
What can you expect to see in this section? Various musings on all things spiritual, thoughts on topics that may have been brought up in one of my various discussion groups, different topics I’ve been thinking about. Not all things I’ll discuss are religious in nature; I’m sure as you read you’ll find that I’m not a fan of religion. Morality, Psychology, and the philosophy of religious thought are much more interesting to me.
