First John Lifestyle – Intro.

In April 2011, I shared with all of you about a paper I was writing about living a First John Lifestyle, it was finally finished in May 2011, but I’ve done some thinking and pondering, and before I make it officially final, I’d like your opinions on the points and logic before I send it (possibly) places to be published or possibly something else cool..

This post will act as a Table of Contents basically, where I’ll give a brief synopsis of the portion of the paper I’m going over.

Also, comments after the portion of the paper will be italicized and to the right.

Like this! See, it’s differentiated!!!

Part 1: A Call to Holiness sets out the purpose of the paper, and gives many of the major verses (feel free to add verses in the comment section of that post) which call us to holiness, and to be separate from the world.

Part 2: No Excuses looks at the power that Christians have over sin… through the view of us as Agathokakological beings. (What could it mean! read… READ! And find out!) and I quote from the controversial book, Love Wins (Which by the way, you can see reviews of it… here!)

Part 3: For the Right Reasons looks at reasons why people or Christians often choose to pursue holiness, but if we don’t do it for the right reasons, it doesn’t really matter! In this section I quote Francis Chan a lot!

About mr.funkhouser

I am a loyal servant of the Jedi Order, Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell and the odds are in my favor. After second breakfast I typically leave my hobbit friends to assimilate Borg and EXTERMINATE Daleks. I often make up my own words: As an architecture student I once said, “Abstractification of the Stratified Rockular Structure.” I’m getting my masters degree in Christian Education, I do social media for a living, and I will never forget the atrocities of the Lannisters. #TheNorthWillRemember. #WinterIsComing #HouseStark
